Ahhh... My love! My very first cream product for the eyes. Most of you that are into make up will already know that MAC is very well known (among million other things) for their Paint Pots. What a paint pot really is according to MAC: A highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. Long-wearing, colourfast. Creates seamless coverage without weight or caking. Blends smoothly over the lids. Cream-based, can be mixed with M·A·C shadows and liners.
In other words: a cream eyeshadow that can either be worn alone, or used as a base to apply your powder e/s helping it last more, not crease and show the e/s more vibrantly on the skin.
Cream eyeshadow is like powder eyeshadow's BFF. It helps the powder e/s "stick" to the skin preventing it from creasing or fading. But it's also a great loner, because you can apply it alone and have that creamy effect with a wash of color that looks oh-so-fresh and "effortless"! :)
MAC's paint pots price around 20 euros (ouch!) for 5 g/0.17 oz of product. It's a bit overpriced in my opinion, so i wouldn't consider collecting them like a hoarder but Rubenesque is a stunner that will always be a part of my makeup vanity.
More on the shade:
MAC describes this as a golden peach with gold pearl in a frost finish. Whatever has "gold" and "peach" in the same sentence is a keeper for me. I'm always reading in blogs that this is a "summer" shade when really you can wear it all year round! I just love creating fall looks with it, warm cranberry colors in the crease, some peachy blush and a nice spice cinnamon lipstick, ahh, heaven on earth (or on my face, lol). If you are more of a cool-toned colors lover you might not be super excited to try this since it is very warm, but it's so pretty i suggest you buy it just to look at it when you feel sad (ok, not really but you got the point! :P ) Iam willing to post some eye makeup looks using this, so stay tuned for those!
Now for the photos:
Tips on using this:
I hope this review was helpful and please share with me your favourite cream eyeshadows, maybe i 'll want to check them out! I also love Maybelline's Color Tattoos, they are definitely of great quality and a cheaper alternative tp MAC paint pots! I will review some of them too!

Don't you just LOVE it?
Heavy swatch, purposely not blended to show the color.
Beautiful duochrome of peach and gold.
Blended out.
Tips on using this:
- Personally, i prefer using my fingertips, although you can use a synthetic brush if you'd like. The warmth of your hands will make it blend better though.
- Work with it quickly (ok not Flash Gordon quickly but yeah, don't make a coffee before blending!) That is because it dries out after some seconds, thus making it a bit difficult to blend. Which for me is good, because it means it will not crease or budge during the day. :)
- Do not apply too much, use less than you think you 'll need and add on as you go. If you apply too much from the start it will become patchy and annoying (been there, done that).
Till then, talk to you guys soon!
xoxo, :*
