Sweet Saturday: My First Korres Lipgloss

Hello! :) Today i'll be talking about my Korres Lipgloss in Light Purple No23, since it was the first lipgloss i ever tried from the brand and i really enjoy wearing it.
First of all, Korres is a greek makeup brand as you all may know, and one of my personal favorites. I own a lot of their makeup products, some of them i adore and some i don't really care for. Their lipglosses are of the ones i really like, since they are nicely pigmented and very long lasting.

I have quite a few shades and i believe they renewed their collection since the last time i bought this, but i think you can still find this one. Overall the color selection is ok. I do wish they had even more shades. These glosses have one of my favorite scents, a very fruity cherry scent that's really pleasant when you apply. No particular taste though.

It contains 6ml/0.20 fl oz of product and it retails for about 10 euros depending on where you buy it. Korres also does some seasonal offers where you can buy special packages containing products with up to 70% discount! I love it when it happens! :P

More on this shade:

Light Purple No 23

The color is one of my favorites because it's pink (duh!) and the shimmer it has is multicolored (white, pink, green, purple shimmer particles) but not so overpowering that it makes your lips look glittery or anything. It just gives the base color (which is a medium pink with a slight hint of purple) more dimension. As you will see in the lip swatches, it's nothing crazy. I HATE too shimmery glosses.

The applicator

The applicator is a doe foot one, which are my personal favorite. I dont really like the ones that come in little brushes with hair bristles in the end. The wand itself is on the short side, which is quite normal because the tube is also short.

Can you see the multicolored shimmer? Gorgeous.

Now for the lip swatches:

Natural light, no lipstick underneath.

The pigmentation is excellent, i'd give it a 65% of color (which is a lot for a gloss). Of course it depends on how much you apply, you can build it up or sheer it out. I have to warn you guys it is on the sticky side, which is kind of annoying during a windy day and if your hair is down, but hey, blame the wind! It is longlasting, i've had lunch with this and it was still there afterwards.

Bedroom lighting. You can see it looks a little more purple.

The name of the gloss is Light Purple, although it seems totally pink to me. It's a lot more pink than purple so keep that in mind.

To sum things up, this is one of my most loved lipglosses. It's a nice formula, it's not crazy expensive and the color is so sweet and easy to pull off. I apply this when i keep my eyes fairly neutral but it will be also great with a heavy smokey eye because it's not a crazy statement color. It pretty much goes with everything.

So that was it for my Sweet Saturday post, i hope you enjoyed it and let me know if you own this lipgloss or if you're planning on getting one!

                                                      Happy w/e! Muah! :*
