Sweet Start: China Glaze in Something Sweet

My very first blogpost, woohoo! So what better way to start, than with a really special review about a product that inspired me to name this blog? :) China Glaze is very well known amongst nail polish junkies like me for the wide variety of their lacquers that are also of top quality. However, i was never really drawn to any particular shade so much like Something Sweet. I am a pink addict in every possible way, so i tend to have favourite and least favourite shades of it. THIS one is my ultimate fave: The Prettiest Candy PINK (with the slighest hint of lilac, most definitely on the Pastel Family of Colors).

First things first, the bottle contains 14ml/.5 fl oz so you can trust that it will last you a fair amount of time depending on how much you use it. The color itself is a pale to medium candy pink, not so pale that it tends to look white not so medium that you can't say it's pale (lol, did that make any sense?)

Application-wise it needs at least two coats to reach full opacity, if not three for those of you that tend to apply thin layers. The formula is creamy and kinda on the thicker side, which is a good and a bad thing. Good because it's not watery/runny at all and makes it easier to apply, bad because you need to work with it quickly if you dont want to end up with a mess of nail polish dragging all over the place.

Now for the photos:
One coat, bedroom lighting, no top coat.
As you can see, the first coat is streaky but it's not so bad that you just want to throw it out the window and then sit and cry for the rest of the week.

Two coats, bedroom lighting, no top coat.
That was two coats which for me are enough, although some of you might be happier with three. I personally dont find it necessary. Both coats were neither too thin or thick, just normal. ;)

Two coats, bedroom lighting, top coat to gloss the effect.

Overall, i really really like this nail polish, it's a pastel pink that will suit light to medium skintones perfectly. It's girly and fun, some might say spring/summer appropriate, i say wear it whenever you want. It's not a statement nail polish for those of you who want to wow the crowd, but it's so feminine and classy. It lasts on my nails for about 4 days without any chipping at all, even without a top coat. It prices around 10 euros, i bought it from Aggelaki Str., Thessaloniki. (Little notice: sales people were really friendly and chatty and the variety of colors is jaw-dropping in there! I could stare at those nail polishes forever!)

And now a little more of a personal note:
Since this is my first post, i don't expect everyone to like it or even to read it to be frank, i'd be extremely happy if i had 3 readers or so somewhere out there in the world, lol. I would really really really (did i mention REALLY?) appreciate it if you left me a comment saying anything about the post, maybe things i would improve? If you really liked it, it would mean the world to me if you would talk to a friend about my blog since i have TONS of posts coming about makeup, hair products, polishes, books, decoration, fashion and more. Last but not least, i just wanna thank my two besties S and D for peer pressuring me to finally start a blog and two of my fave Greek Beauty Bloggers Maria (http://www.youtube.com/user/MarilliasChoice1989) and Lucy (who guided me step by step on creating a blog http://www.youtube.com/user/loukiaki89 ), thank you so much dolls! <3
