Spring Loves: A Return

Guess who's back... ;) (me) I am not going to sit down and write all the reasons that kept me away form blogging all these months because noone probably cares, but i will say that i'll be posting more often from now on.  I dont know, spring came and flowers are blooming so why not make my little bloggy bloom again? :) This is going to be a MEGA post so let's jump right in.. :)

Spring, ohh spring! <3 What a lovely season. The weather is great, not too cold that you have to get dressed like an onion and not too warm that it wont allow you to accessorize with scarves and pretty outerwear. Makeup-wise it's my favorite too, what better way to welcome the season than to brighten up your makeup routine with pinks and peaches and corals! Just like fall brought us burgundys and warm browns now it's time to blossom like Cherrytrees, to change leaves and ...ok, this post is quickly turning into a big old cheesy praise for spring. I'll move on to my Spring  Loves before you all click that exit button. :S

Make Up:

The greatest of them all! :P Well, for me, seasons shouldn't confine what makeup you 'll be wearing but let's face it, some looks go well with the weather and some don't. For instance you CAN wear a dark plum lipstick and do a smokey eye in a mid-August morning but you know, it just doesn't feel completely "right". I mean, for me, makeup is sth to enhance your features but also sth that can go well with your style, your clothes, the way you feel a particular day. What i'm trying to say, is that there are many aspects of choosing the style of your makeup and for me personally, seasons are one of them. I have to admit though, if you're feeling like coral lippie on Christmas Day or dark burgundy lips in spring, noone can tell you is "wrong". Just enjoy it, have fun with it. That's the whole point of it, isnt it? Just fun, no rules. :)

That being said, and since i am loving bright and pastel colors in all ways, shapes or forms, the arrival of spring was just what i needed to start wearing more of my bright and "springy" makeup. 

For eyes, i tend to stay away from dark or very matte colors and go towards champagnes, peaches, light pinks, greens and even corals (coral eyeshadow is seriously thebomb.com if you know how to wear it). 

A look i've done using green and coral e/s. I know it's not the safest choice but i personally love pairing those two for a girly and fun eye look :) :

Cheeks and Lips:

Ok, don't get me wrong, but it's really sad how a bright cheek and lip combo can make me happy, that i feel like need to sort out my life priorities. I dont know what it is, i just get so happy when i get to wear a bright blush! I'm telling you guys, i'm turning into some crazy blush lady. Last year was all about neons, so i obviously stocked up with some neon blushers (CAUTION: you need the minimum amount of those, otherwise instead of healthy and springy, you'll look like a scary clown that all kids are afraid of.) As for lips, anyone who knows me, knows that all i need is some milky pink or pastel peach on my lips and i can die happy. No food, no water, no boyfriend, no job. Just a girly, fun color on the lips. I die for light pinks, salmons, peaches and corals for lips. I know that "milky" shades like NARS Turkish Delight gloss are not everyone's cup of tea, but for me, if they were indeed a cup of tea, i wouldnt drink anything else but this. However, spring is just the right season to also rock some fuchsias, shimmery pinks, coral reds etc. Think of rose petals and blossoms, all these are great colors to have in mind when you go lipstick shopping for spring. Obviously it depends on your coloring and your likings, but you get the idea. :)

Nails:
Oh nail polish, what would we do without you? <3 Again: pinks, corals, peaches, light blues, mints, strawberry reds, lilacs, yellows will not be missing from my nail polish stash this spring. What better way to improve an outfit than to have a polished look on your nails? You can wear the sexiest dress on earth, have the prettiest makeup on and wear some 800$ Louboutins, if your nails look like hell, it just takes down the whole look. In my opinion, anyways. :)
I'm planning to do a separate post all about my Top Nail Polish colors for spring and summer, so i am not going to add any pics now. :)


Well well, i was planning to include clothing and accessorizing in this post, but since i rambled like crazy once more, i think i'll be dividing my "Spring Loves" post in 2 parts.
